Nuno Beato

Nuno Beato es otro de los grandes artistas de la animación portuguesa e internacional.Socio-Gerente, Productor y Director de "Sardinha em Lata" uno de los estudios de animación más populares de Portugal.  También es profesor desde 2002 en diversas áreas de la animación. En el campo de la dirección destacamos la serie de TV "Ema & Gui" (Exhibida en Portugal, España, Italia, Finlandia, Corea del Sur, Argentina e Israel) y en la realización de cortometrajes su película "Mi vida en tus manos" ha sido ganadora de 8 premios internacionales y seleccionada en cerca de 100 festivales de todo el mundo. 
Nuno es un artista versátil al que le gusta experimentar y mezclar diferentes técnicas de animación.

Igor Lodeiro

CG Supervisor en Dreamworks
Igor Lodeiro se unió a Dreamworks en el año 2004 y en la actualidad es supervisor CG del equipo que produce Madagascar 3. Anteriormente desempeñó la labor de supervisor CG en El gato con botas y Kung Fu Panda, Lead Lighter en Como entrenar a tu dragón, Monstruos vs Alliens y Bee Movie. Y como lighter en las exitosas Flushed Away, Over the Hedge y Shark Tale.
Su primer contacto con la infografía fue a los trece años, recibió su primer ordenador de 8 bits y experimentó con el diseño de gráficos en 2D para juegos. Igor supo inmediatamente que el sueño de su vida sería trabajar en el campo de los gráficos creados en ordenador, sin embargo, después de haber crecido al norte de España en el País Vasco, se encontraba con oportunidades limitadas para acceder a escuelas de Arte Digital. Por esta razón a los 18 aprendió de forma autodidacta a crear imágenes fijas generadas en 3D.
Creó su propia empresa centrándose en el diseño mecánico y arquitectónico e imágenes foto realistas en 3d principalmente para empresas dedicadas a la publicidad. En su tiempo libre experimentó la animación creando los cortometrajes Legomanía y Awesome, que fueron seleccionados en 1996 y 1997 en Art Futura, un festival en España especializado en arte digital.
El trabajo de Igor fue difundido por muchos foros especializados en internet, llegando a llamar la atención de Phantagram Entertainment en Estados Unidos. Su talento le llevó a este país en 2001 y desde entonces Igor lleva cumpliendo el sueño que para él comenzó hace 15 años en San Sebastián, su ciudad natal en el norte de España.

Sara Barbas

Joven animadora realizadora de nacionalidad portuguesa. Radica en el Reino Unido y desde hace tiempo es una de las animadoras que forman parte de la plantilla de Aardam, la prestigiosa productora británica dirigida por Nick Park. Realiza producciones propias en forma de cortometrajes y no cesa de formarse.
En la actualidad prepara un cortometraje en animación 2D que tiene un aspecto estupendo. Además, para suerte de profesionales y estudiantes comparte sus conocimients impartiendo workshops de distintas especialidades que componen la producción de animación 2D, 3D y Stop Motion.

Abi Feijó

Abi Feijó was born in Braga, Portugal in 1956 and graduates from the Oporto School of Fine Arts. In 1984 he makes the short film Oh que Calma. Soon After, he founded Filmógrafo.
In 1993, he made Os Salteadores / The Outlaws, an animated short using drawings on paper won numerous international awards. It was followed by Fado Lusitano (1995), a sort of self-portrait of Portugal, his history, art and culture, using paper cut-out animation. In 2000, in co-production with RTP and the French Program's Animation / Youth Studio, he completed Clandestino / Stowaway, a sand animation.
At Filmógrafo, Feijó serves as producer and artistic advisor. He also gives workshops and training around the world. He is currently involved in establishing The Animation House, a cultural center devoted to the art of animation in Porto



Andrea Pierri

Andrea Pierri was born in Turin, Italy, in 1968. He studied animation at the ADT in Milan, and he graduated in Film and Video Directing at the UCLA, University of California Los Angeles. He collaborated for reknown studios and production companies both in Italy and in the United States, such as Acme Filmworks, Klasky & Csupo, The Animation Band. Today Andrea Pierri is based in Italy where he runs a small advertising company, producing TV commercials, TV Programes and film documentaries. His works have been shown at the major international film festival and broadcasted on several TV channels worldwide.



Andrew Gordon

He has been a character animator for over ten years, and his professional career begins in Warner Bros. classic animation. He became part of Pixar Animation Studios in 1997, where he worked in Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles. He was the chief animator of the "Mike wazowski" character in Monsters S.A., and he's won the Outstanding Character Animation in an Animated Movie award of the Society of Visual Effects for his contribution in the "speaking whale" sequence in Finding Nemo. Andrew shares his experience teaching animation at schools such as Van Arts in Vancouver, Canada.
Andrew studied animation in Vancouver, New York and New Jersey and prior to his work at Pixar he worked in the Looney Tunes division of Warner Brothers. He was awarded "Outstanding Character Animation in an Animated Motion Picture" by the Visual Effects Society for his work in Finding Nemo.
Gordon has been passionate about teaching animation for over 10 years. He began teaching at the Academy of Art, teaching all levels of the animation program there. He has taught animation intensives throughout the world. Andrew is also actively involved in The Pixar Animation Internship, helping lead it for 2007, 2009 and the upcoming 2010 program. Andrew is a contributing lecturer at Animation Mentor. He is a frequent guest artist at CSU Summer Arts Program.
He is one of the founders of Spline Doctors (www.splinedoctors.com), a blog/podcast dedicated to animation education. He is currently helping develop and teach at the new animation program at California College of Art in Oakland (CCA).




Anne Laure To


Anne Laure To
Background, Matte Painting, 3d Animator and Visual Development artist from France. Former student from Les Gobelins, Paris and Folimage, Valence. Her professional experience, goes from 3D animation to Backgroud painting or Visual Development. Out of her last projects we can point out her collaborations with Core/Disney, Studios Macguff at Paris and Sparx in projects like "Pat & Satanley" de Macguff, or "Azur et Asmar" of Michel Ocelot.







Barbara Meyers

 


Barbara is a north-american artist specialized mainly in direction and supervision of lightning in animation projects. In her curriculum there are several of the most important animation studios in the world as Dreamworks and Weta Digital Inc and movies like Ants, Shrek, Madagascar and Lord of the Rings.
Now-a-days she lives in Spain working in Ilion Animation Studios working on one of the most ambicious animation projects of Spain. The feature film “Planet 51”.
